Day 2:
Portraits
This photo is taken by Lee Jeffries at Skid Row in California. Most of the photos he takes are portraits of homeless people. I chose this photo of his many because of the story within the mans eyes. Simply from looking at this photo one can infer that his life has not been the easiest and that he has seen much more than most of us will ever see perhaps, in the real life. All of his photographs are chillingly cold and speak a truth of homelessness. This photo the cigarette is a focal point of the photograph. Once the viewer is not looking at his eyes you wonder why is he smoking? maybe that the only thing he has, no one to talk to, no one to worry about his health. This photo overall for me is astounding. because with one glance it speaks thousands of words
