Here are 2 photos I took last winter. The exposure was different on both of them. in the camera bag chapter I learned one must acknowledge the lighting in the photos the must take and set the exposure accordingly. If its a brighter day, one wants a lower exposure. Also the lighting in the photo can change the mood in a photo. The different between 9 am and 5:30 pm are much different, especially as winter pushes on. Noise is when the Iso is too high the the photo begins to get burry and pixelated. One tries to avoid this.

Stept Productions
Stept Productions is a film productions company out of the East Coast with brothers Nick Martini and Alex Martini as founding brothers. In this mutimedia film, they have a great introduction with graphic design influences and then followed by the highlights from the film, The Eighty Six (2012), with music from Mr. Little Jeans. I absolutely love it. Forever my favorite edit I believe.
Typography evironment
I really like this, it really does make you think a bit about how much use from the planet. How long before we completely ruin it? I like the thought of trying to think of the brain as a forest constantly growing and changing, and evolving.
GMO Free America
Here is a great example of typography map about America, and current facts about American opinions about GMOs and there legality. Unfortunately, even though polls consistently show that a significant majority of Americans want to know if the food they’re purchasing contains GMOs, the powerful biotech lobby has succeeded in keeping this information from the public.
Graphic design ii: Outdoor tech
This is the Outdoor Tech home page. I believe it was a good representation of a good composure. The website is clean and easy to navigate through the page. Your eyes drift from all the options of the company to the newest deal they're selling current or a new product they offer. This design is set up in a Z formation.
graphic design
This photo is a good example of graphic design and typography, I like that the words he chose are the definition of the exact thing it is. how Ironic.
Documentary ii
January 2012:
Tom Wallisch launches off a rail in Aspen, Colorado in training for finals. I like this action shot as documentary style of shots. the rings from the sunlight and cold air make Tom look like he's at a movie set.

I like this photo from the 2010 world cup. On a summer's night in early July, millions of fans from around the world tuned in to watch the FIFA World cup final between Spain and The Netherlands, both of which had won a world cup before. The game was fast paced and rough with plenty of bookings from the referee. The game was tied and went into overtime. No one could break free of the deadlock until Torres and Fabregras worked together to get the ball to Iniesta in the 116' minute of overtime and scored a far post goal.
Ethical considerations
Ethical considerations ii:
This is a photo from the China's Xianjing Autonomous Region. In the photo you see two men on camels. I feel like your actually in the photo, walking along side with them, traveling through the basin. This photo takes more a veil of ignorance type of view. This allows the reader to try to feel the way I feel when I was in the moment taking the photo traveling.

Mt. Hood, Oregon
May 30, 2002
In May 2002 one of the worst climbing a rescues disasters ever on Mt. Hood history. Two climbers that were descending Mt.Hood lost footing and crashed into a group that were ascending. Nine climbers had fallen into a 12 meter deep crevasse, and three were dead. On top of the climbers falling, one of the rescue helicopters suddenly lost draft and crashing into the bowl of the mountain. I chose to write about this photo with ethical considerations because it shows a utilitarianism type of approach. This photo completely encompasses the entire tragedy of the Mt. Hood disaster. The helicopter is completely flipped over, the man is asking for help, people are being attended to, there are people watching at the ridge line. Everything is adds up to a horrific scene that truly nobody wants to be a part of. The worst and most ironic part of the photo is the shadow of the helicopter on the mountain that is now saving them, almost mockingly.

I like this portrait because it focus only on the subjects. the photo is clearly centered and well set up. the expressions on the child's face is similar to that of the dog which makes the photo funny and enjoyable to look at. It reminds you when life was easy, and just like a dog you were just running around without a single care. The boy and the dog both look like there are already eyeing their next adventure without even worrying about the photo session

This portrait was taken by Elliott Erwitt. It is of a little boy in Colorado in a car of some sorts. I really like this photo because the boy is unhappy and the fact that the gunshot broken glass is perfectly over his face. It adds to a back story behind the photo that one might not know about. the window frame helps frame the boys face and allows that to be the centre of attention. The look that the boy has is one that is filled with sadness and the cracked window helps depict the story even more.

Day 2:
Portraits
This photo is taken by Lee Jeffries at Skid Row in California. Most of the photos he takes are portraits of homeless people. I chose this photo of his many because of the story within the mans eyes. Simply from looking at this photo one can infer that his life has not been the easiest and that he has seen much more than most of us will ever see perhaps, in the real life. All of his photographs are chillingly cold and speak a truth of homelessness. This photo the cigarette is a focal point of the photograph. Once the viewer is not looking at his eyes you wonder why is he smoking? maybe that the only thing he has, no one to talk to, no one to worry about his health. This photo overall for me is astounding. because with one glance it speaks thousands of words

Day 1:
Day 1:
This is the photo I found for the daily blog. This photograph is taken by Walter Astrada in India. What drew me to this photograph was the mono tone of the picture. His choice of angle in the photo is great because it makes me wonder what is behind the photographer, but ahead what he sees is silence or nothing-ness. The women crotched over makes her back aline with the believed horizon as she is drinking. The lines in the water allow for one to understand the depth of how far it goes back towards the horizon. Overall this photo is very pleasing to me. From the fact its almost monochromatic to the line in the water to the shoreline.
